NYU graduates and writing duo Elspeth Collard and Sam Rosenblatt return to 54 Below with “Out Being Us.” Consisting of all original music, and including songs from Like the Wind (SoHo Playhouse), ROSE (NYU), A Princess Story (Marymount Manhattan College), Collisions (streaming album), and more. The show showcases talent from the LGBTQ+ community.
The songs tell stories of many aspects of the queer experience, ranging from awkward uptempo encounters, to heartfelt ballads, and of course, a boy band or two.
Music Directed by Jack Oliver Kotanen, who plays piano and guitar for the show, marks his 54 Below debut, as well as his first time music directing in New York.
